Project description:
“Red Salmantica Global” (Salamanca Global Network) is a European project through the European Solidarity Corps programme. With this programme, Fundación Plan B welcomes youth from different European countries to carry out a volunteer project for almost a year in nonprofits and community-based organisations throughout the city of Salamanca. 

These organisations work in social engagement and community involvement activities, such as advancing social inclusion for marginalised groups, working with people with disabilities, promoting cultural activities or non-formal education for youth and minors.

The organisations that our European volunteers have worked with are the following:

• Fundación Secretariado Gitano (a Spanish NGO dedicated to serving the Roma community).
• Casa Hogar Teresa de Jesús (a youth shelter in Salamanca).
• Espacio _almargen (Social justice community theatre in Salamanca).
• Fundación Plan B.
• Asprodes Plena Inclusión (an NGO in the Castilla y León region dedicated to improving the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities and their families).
• Fundación AVIVA (a non-profit organisation dedicated to defending the rights of and improving the quality of life of people with disabilities and their families).
