Project description:
The project «Conecta con tu barrio. Juventud europea» (Connect with your neighbourhood. European Youth) aims to strengthen the sense of belonging to the European Community among young people in the neighbourhoods of Blanco, Carmen and Pizarrales in Salamanca. This is done through the creation of youth groups for active participation. 

The project objectives are:
The general objective is to create and empower a youth participation group for decision-making and independent management of changes on the local, regional, national and transnational levels with a critical and democratic perspective.

The specific objectives are the following:

• To develop actions that enhance active youth participation within the community. 
• To enable equal access to resources among the youth groups. 
• To foster coexistence between groups of young people from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds through the expression of common needs and the creation of actions that promote collective growth. 
• To show youth different ways to approach and participate in public bodies and administration on the local, national and European levels. 
• To stimulate youth to form active and independent youth groups for their community.
