Project description:
In The City of Children Club (CDN), children from the nearby town of Villamayor participate in recreational activities related to coexistence, social participation and personal development. These activities help to foster their critical spirit and participation in order to make the Children’s Councils a real participatory body in Villamayor. All of this is always done through playing, because CDN is a place to have fun!

CDN encourages children to participate actively in the elaboration of proposals for social and environmental projects, benefiting a fair and democratic society. It’s about thinking of the town of Villamayor-the way it’s organised, its urban planning and facilities-together with the children who live there.

The project objectives are:

• To encourage children to understand their rights, fulfil their responsibilities to their community and contribute to the common good.
• To promote active participation and community development in the children of Villamayor
• To bring municipal bodies that promote participation closer to children.
